Who We Are

We are the flag line of  The Florida State University, one of two auxiliary units to perform with the world renowned Marching Chiefs. The other auxiliary section is our Majorette line. In the past there has also been a rifle line.

We attend and perform two shows at every home game at FSU, our Pre-Game show and our Half- time show. We also travel to 2-3 away games each season, at the end of the season we attend a bowl game.

"So what exactly do you do?"

We spin flags!

If you have ever seen a marching band perform, you will almost always find a line of flags, generally somewhere in the back. That's us!

We practice five days a week, from 4 - 6 pm, plus one to two sectionals a week.

"How do I join?!"

You will need to download a PDF form from the Marching Chiefs website. Currently, the site is down but if you are interested, just send an e-mail with your name and address and we'll try to mail you one ASAP!

Requirements:
-You must be a prospective student of Florida State University (you have an acceptance letter).
**OR**
-You must be planning to attend Tallahassee Community College, in which you have to dual-enroll to be a part of Marching Chiefs (yes it is a class!).
-You must have colorguard experience.
-You must love the Seminoles!!

Auditions are held towards the end of April.
Auditions consist of creating your own solo routine to be performed for judges, then learning a group routine which will be performed for the judges in groups of four. There is usually a basic marching audition the same day. Auditions are held on a Saturday starting around 8 - 9 am and are over some time in the afternoon.
